• This position is responsible for directly preparing cost estimates for construction projects in
bidding on and/or determining price of service under limited supervision.
• Perform cost analysis, benchmarking/target costing, cost control and cost planning estimates.
• Coordinate and liaise with management, architects, owners and subcontractors on changes and
adjustments to cost estimates.
• Prepare take offs and breakdowns. Read bid specifications and prepare bid documents.
• Follow bid leads. Attend pre bid meeting.
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Must be able to complete a biddable construction estimate without guidance.
• Assess cost effectiveness of projects, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project
develops.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction Manager to discuss
and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Provide your insight & evaluation of potential projects and support the investment & evaluation
head to take proper decision.
• Support the structuring of Company’s sub-division like Cost Control, Scheduling & Cost Control.
• Provide strong team leadership and management commitment to the timely and cost-effective
achievement of the company’s goals and objectives.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cost Estimation and Project handling in Civil & Construction
projects with comparable tasks.
Technical/project exposure as an engineer is a plus.
Good knowledge of the English language (oral and written).
Good knowledge in network planning techniques and experience in using scheduling software preferably
Primavera P3 / P6, AutoCAD as well as MS Office.
